AI restore temporarily uploads the original to private storage and sends it to Replicate; the input is deleted when the job ends and the result link is short-lived, so download promptly.

FAQ

Which photos can be fixed?: Mild to moderate defocus, camera shake, low-resolution upscaling, compression mush, and faces in old photos work best. If a photo is completely smeared or the subject is only a few dozen pixels, AI can only make an educated guess and the result may not match the real person exactly.
Standard vs. deep restore?: Standard uses CodeFormer: faces are rebuilt separately and the background is enhanced with Real-ESRGAN; it is fast and counts toward the general Pro cloud quota. Deep uses Topaz Low Resolution V2, a commercial model that is steadier on heavy blur and low resolution but costs more, so it is limited to 6 runs per 30 days. You can run both and compare pixel by pixel with the loupe before downloading.
How do I pick fidelity?: It controls how aggressively faces are repainted: “More detail” is crisper but can drift from the real person; “Faithful” stays closer to the original with less detail. Balanced is the default; use Faithful for ID and memorial photos.
Is there a free option?: Local quick sharpen is free for everyone, runs in your browser without uploading, and has no limit — good for slightly soft photos. AI restore requires Pro.
